I am an Applied Scientist at Amazon, working at the frontier of generative AI — building foundation models of customer behavior and using them for causal reasoning and counterfactual inference.

I recently completed my Master’s in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, specializing in Machine Learning and AI. During my master’s, I conducted research at the Design Intelligence Lab with Prof. Ashok Goel, focusing on Cognitive and Generative AI in Educational Technology.

Before my master’s, I was an AI Research Engineer at Microsoft Research (PROSE), advised by Dr. Sumit Gulwani, Dr. Ashish Tiwari, and Dr. Vu Le. My work there explored leveraging LLMs and symbolic methods to generate reliable and robust code. Earlier, I worked as a Software Development Engineer at Adobe on the Adobe Experience Manager Guides team.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Social Sciences (with honors) from IIIT Delhi in 2022, graduating with the Institute Silver Medal and the All-Round Performance Award for best academic performance. I completed my bachelor’s thesis under the guidance of Dr. Jainendra Shukla (IIITD) and Dr. Aniket Bera (Purdue University).

I’ve also contributed to research at Adobe Research, improving AI models for PDF accessibility, and at the PAG, HMI, MIDAS, and NewsLab labs in areas like program analysis, HCI, causality & interpretability, and digital journalism.

Beyond academics, I am passionate about creating opportunities in tech for everyone. I serve as Director of Career Development on the board of the Muslim Tech Collaborative at Georgia Tech, and previously founded and led Lean In IIITD. I was also a core member of Women in Machine Learning and Data Science, Delhi and mentored with AnitaB.org.
